Why did you join Circle K?
I was involved in my Key Club all through high school. I loved the opportunity to build leadership skills, do community service, and meet some awesome people along the way. When I found out that the University of Michigan had such an active Circle K Club, I was really excited to be able to continue doing service in college. I was worried
that the club was too big and that it wouldn't be as rewarding as Key Club had been for me in high school. I was completely wrong and the
amazing service projects I've gotten to participate in and the great people I've met have kept me here.

Funny Circle K Story:
One Sunday during Crafts at Mott Hospital, I made pasta jewelry with a little boy named Antonio. Most of the kids at Mott are very quiet and shy, but not Antonio. At one point Antonio said, "Dirty girl who eats too much, you should sue the dork who feeds you. And maybe cook those noodles on your necklace to eat some healthy food for a change." I was the "dirty girl" and another volunteer was the "dork." It was nice to see such a spirited little boy at Mott with an amazing sense of humor despite everything he was going through.

Why did you join Circle K?
My sister first introduced me to Circle K, because she was an active member at the Marquette University chapter.  I loved to volunteer and help people so after all the stories she told me, I decided to check it out for myself...and I loved it!

Funny Circle K Story:
This past year due to some unforeseen circumstances, the ski trip turned out to be a road trip to Petoskey with nobody skiing! Despite that, we decided to make the road trip anyway and sight see around Michigan. There was a crazy snow storm on the drive up, and on the way we ended up in a ditch! While in the ditch waiting for the tow truck, we decided to play Catchphrase while using our cell phones as lights!  It was a lot of fun and so many memories were made, and we all became close!

Why did you join Circle K?
I always try and get at least one other person to come with me to Motor Meals because with a little help, the project goes much faster. Also, I've found with another person there it's much easier to NOT lock your keys in your car... which I've done. The residents of the apartment building brought out coat hangers and cell phones and were all very helpful, and kept me company until my extra keys arrived a half hour later. The residents there still give me a hard time about it, and I'm usually greeted: "Hey, ain't you that girl that locked her keys in her trunk?"

Why did you join Circle K?
I joined Circle K to complete service and help out the ann arbor commmunity, but also to meet awesome people on campus. And I've accomplished both in Circle K.

Funny Circle K Story:
I have so many funny stories from CK, but one that sticks out is this past year's CK Service Day. I stayed doing service for 24 hours, and one trip was doing Kids Against Hunger in Okemos. The car ride there and back was so fun and filled with inside jokes, because we had reached the half-way point and had become a little delerious. But I think the best Circle K times I have are in car rides when everyone is a little sleepy. But I remember that day because it was funny, awesome, and amazing all in one crazy day.

Why did you join Circle K?
I joined Circle K because I was extremely involved with service clubs and Key Club in high school. I knew I wanted to continue doing service throughout college. I went to mass meeting, and I was impressed of how organized the large club was with the committee system and online calendar. I knew it would be a good fit. I started doing service projects and loved the happiness I provided to others with the amazing people I met.

Funny Circle K Story:
One of the large scale socials I attended last year was when a whole bunch of us went to Wiards County Fair. We decided to go into "The Mindshaft," a haunted house that was not supposed scary during the day. However, when we got in, it was completely dark, and we had no idea what was going on, as we walked the wrong way with random scary people and tubing blowing on us. We all decided to hold hands, close our eyes, and scream. Eventually, we got out and laughed at how long it took us and how loud we were screaming together.
